Nine Mile Run Watershed Association - Rosedale Runoff Reduction Program

Ethos Collaborative provided successful grant support to the Nine Mile Run Watershed Association, related to the design and construction of numerous urban green infrastructure retrofit projects, located throughout the Homewood area of the City of Pittsburgh. Working with Nine Mile Run, our partner Landbase System selected the high performance sites using their proprietary GOALprocess.   The Ethos Design Team then used these sites to design green infrastructure retrofits to meet the project goals.

Ethos worked closely with Nine Mile Run, Stormworks, Landbase Systems and the affected community to provide conceptual design, compelling graphic renderings, construction cost estimates and similar grant support documentation, which will be submitted to various foundations and grant-funding institutions. The proposed green infrastructure solutions include extensive rain gardens, curbed stormwater planters, green streetscapes, stormwater tree planters, and porous pavement sidewalks and will be funded for construction is 2015 from numerous grant sources, totaling nearly $500,000 in funding received.
