Homewood YWCA - Sustainability Assessment

Ethos, as part of multi-member integrative sustainability assessment team led by Sustainable Pittsburgh, provided holistic sustainability evaluations the Homewood YWCA’s institutional and organizational facilities and operations. The YWCA underwent a Phase I assessment in early 2014 and based on Phase I findings Phase II detailed assessments of the building envelope and mechanical systems; health, safety, and security; site stormwater and erosion, and community partnerships. Ethos provided preliminary analysis of site stormwater and infrastructure issues and identified potential projects with synergies across organizational sustainability objectives for Phase I and is currently completing detailed evaluation of project feasibility for addressing neighborhood stormwater flooding and combined sewer contribution mitigation on and adjacent to the YMCA parcel.
